SplatterFest 2010 Film Festival

eventdetail
SplatterFest

SplatterFest is a unique film competition specifically geared to the horror genre. Eighteen teams took the challenge to create a monster masterpiece running four to seven minutes. Each team of filmmakers was assigned a unique murder weapon and a character that had to be included in their work. All teams were given the same line of dialogue to use, whether spoken, written, in a foreign language, sung, or whatever. The line is, “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." Eight teams will win the right to be shown at Blood Bath 2 in Dallas. Screenings will take place Monday and Tuesday nights (from 7-9 p.m.), with awards, including "Best Scream," "Best Kill," "Best Makeup Special Effects," and "Best Script," presented after Tuesday night's screening.
