The parade tradition in The Woodlands began in the 1980s. Last year, the patriotic celebration had approximately 145 entries and 2,000 to 3,000 participants. This year, the committee anticipates 20,000 to 25,000 in attendance. The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles and begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, near Grogan’s Mill Road and Lake Woodlands Drive, and passes through Market Street. Kevin Saunders and Stacy Brown will serve as co-grand marshalls.
