Pianist Grant Loehnig and mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer showcase Carlisle Floyd's "Citizen of Paradise" in a recital and lecture at Rice University's Duncan Recital Hall. "Citizen of Paradise" is based on letters and poems by Emily Dickinson.
Floyd has had a long and illustrious history in creating opera premieres at the Houston Grand Opera.
