From Havana, Cuba, Malpaso Dance Company is committed to bringing Cuban contemporary dance into the 21st century by collaborating with top international choreographers and nurturing new voices in Cuban choreography. Founded in 2012 by Osnel Delgado, Dailedys Carrazana and Fernando Saéz, the company of 10 dancers express the passion and uncertainties that define Cuban life and are embodied in the country’s rich dance tradition.

For its Houston debut, the company will exhibit its trademark fresh, contemporary spirit in a program that will include works by Trey McIntyre and artistic director Osnel Delgado, set to music by Grammy Award-winning pianist and composer Arturo O’Farrill, who will perform live with members of his Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble.
