Society for the Performing Arts' 2014 gala will transform the Wortham Theater Center's foyer into post World War I carefree Paris, from 1920s through the 1930s, when American musicians, authors, artists and socialites converged there and jazz reigned as an art form.

Grab your beret and get ready to dance the night away to Hot Sardines, a high-energy traditional jazz band with a Parisian accent. The group will entertain guests with its brass lineup, rhythm section led by a stride-piano virtuoso in the Fats Waller vein, and lead female singer hitting high notes of the era.
