The Houston Cinema Arts Society (HCAS) and the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art partner to present a sneak peak screening of Art Car: The Movie by filmmakers Carlton Ahrens and Ford Gunter presented by Del Monte Films. The documentary explores the world of art car lovers and creators and follows local artists as they prepare their entries into the 2010 Art Car Parade, along with an inside look at how the City of Houston and the Orange Show prepared for the event. The film also chronicles the automobile’s place in American culture and the rise of the Art Car Movement in Houston during the 1980’s.

The film is scheduled to have its world premiere at HCAS on Sunday, November 13 at Miller Outdoor Theatre as part of its 2011 Cinema Arts Festival Houston.
