Slow Food Houston invites the community to the Finca Tres Robles urban farm to celebrate National Food Day. Every National Food Day, thousands of events all around the country celebrate real food and push for improved food policies. To advocate a more local and greener diet Slow Food Houston have partnered with Finca Tres Robles to host this gathering.
The event will begin with a morning market where fresh produce will be available for purchase straight from the farm. Both cash and cards will be accepted. Complimentary snacks from Slow Food Houston and tea and coffee from Beans Café will be provided following the market. Nosh and mingle as the stage is set for the community discussion. The Food Day discussion topic will be “Urban Farms, Young Farmers and You.”
