Following their Houston debut, Rebirth, Skylar Campbell Dance Collective returns with First Light, a bold evening of dance presented in collaboration with Voices of Arts Central, founded by Principal Dancer with Houston Ballet, Karina Gonzalez.
The production will feature the Houston premiere of Christopher Wheeldon’s After the Rain,a pas de deux renowned for its emotional depth and sculptural beauty; For Pixie by Dani Rowe, an intimate and poignant duet rarely seen outside of major international stages; the world premiere by Prix de Lausanne Young Creation Award winner Hank Lichtmacher; Rain, in Your Black Eyes by Karina Gonzalez, a sweeping ensemble piece; and the dynamic contemporary works by Renato Zanella, Ariel Rose, Kristina Paulin, and Alejandro Gonzalez.
