"Abstract Transitions" features a selection of Marta Chilindron's recent works of colorful hinged collapsible geometric acrylic sculptures that allow the viewer to move, fold and reconfigure its parts. Thus, the aesthetic experience of her works offers the viewer the option to go from passive contemplation to a performance that negotiates their shape and arrangement —within the limits of their flexible design. Her mode of production includes manual labor, and/or high-technology tools like laser cutters, 3D modelling, and robotic manufacturing.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until August 30.
