Bella! This Woman's Place is in the House is a documentary about how Congresswoman Bella Abzug influenced a who’s who of women in politics and entertainment, from Hillary Clinton to Barbra Streisand.

So many issues that matter today - civil rights, disability, LGBT rights, privacy, government ethics, women’s right, childcare, the environment - were key to Abzug’s work in Congress in the 1970s. She also helped dream up and lead the National Women’s Conference held in Houston in 1977.

The Sharing Stories from 1977 project will host this film screening. They will also feature a post-film Q&A panel discussion with director Jeff L. Lieberman and Battling Bella author, Dr. Leandra Zarnow.
