Inspired by actual events, Sam Gold (Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network) is a young Brooklyn Hasid disillusioned with the faith whose neighbor recruits him to transport “medicine” from Amsterdam. Feeling validated by the drug dealer’s respect for his business savvy, Sam begins to spiral deeper into the detrimental world of drugs and pull further away from his family.
