Twelve-year-old Lauren Daley is facing a challenge. Growing up in Kingwood, she is both deaf and blind, and she needs critical help learning how to communicate with and accessing the environment around her.

There is a solution for her: An intervener is a highly skilled specialist who serves as the vital bridge to the world for deafblind persons. But interveners can also be quite an overwhelming additional financial burden — Lauren's intervener costs her family $1,000 a week. This cost can only be sustained by fundraisers and donations.

The Seventh Annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will be held at Kingwood Country Club, with sign in starting at noon, a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start and dinner and award ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds from Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will benefit the unique educational needs of Lauren. Lauren's hard work and joyous spirit have brought her and her family nationwide notoriety for educational advancements in the deafblind community.
