The gala event, "Deep in the Heart of Texas," will honor the Darrell K. Royal family with the Spirit of Life Award. The Royal family was selected for their dedication to finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease through the establishment of an Alzheimer's research fund named for the late Coach Darrell K. Royal. Gala guests will celebrate Texan style as they enjoy food, drinks, a silent auction and a casino, as well as dancing to the Ricky Diaz Orchestra.
"Deep in the Heart of Texas" will celebrate the facility's 70th year of service to the elderly and disabled of the Texas Gulf coast.
