Señorita Cinema is all grown up this year, bringing three action-packed nights of Latina independent film to three different venues in Houston.

4:30 p.m. - Filmmaker Workshop on Video Poetry
The Filmmaker Workshop on Video Poetry, hosted by two Señorita Cinema alumni artists and activists Liana Lopez and Stalina Villarreal, allows guests to explore their creative side while incorporating poetry and video to make new and ground-breaking art.. This workshop is pay what you can; space is limited.

6-10 p.m. - Shorts, Mercado and Party
This signature short film showcase features Latina filmmakers from far and wide. A true fan favorite, this event also offers a chance to catch the next rising stars of film. Doors open at 6 p.m. to the Mercado (open market) of artisans and community organizations. After the shorts screening, get ready to party with a live performance by Cancega Xicanas Unidas and special set by super DJ Desi — plus food and drink.
