The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is proud to present Satyajit Ray's The Apu Trilogy. Based on a bestselling novel about a West Bengali family in the 1950s, the series of three films follows the life of Apu, a precocious little boy, from childhood to maturity. Considered a landmark in 20th-century cinema, Ray's close observations of one Bengali family have a universal appeal and are presented with authenticity and attention to the details of daily life.

Each digitally restored film features music by the legendary Ravi Shankhar and is presented in Bengali with English subtitles.
