Sawyer Yards presents "WIP 2023," the first exhibition of the tenant artists at Winter Street Studios since the devastating fire occurred almost one year ago. The opening reception will celebrate the return of the artists and their generative energy to the building.
"WIP" is artist shorthand for "work in progress." The reconstruction and renovation of Winter Street Studios, as well as the artists' rebuilding of their studio practice and livelihoods, is still in progress, however many artists have finally returned to Sections A and B of the building. This exhibition is a testament to their resilience and their dedication to continue their art-making.
The exhibition will remain on view on both floors through February 10, 2024.
