Color:Story is a dynamic community event/ art opening/ reading/ poetry slam for a visual art and poetry exhibition featuring the collaborative work of 22 Houston artists using local and national poets' words in their work. Color:Story was created by visual artists Leslie Gaworecki and Marlo Saucedo as a biennial event to bridge creative worlds.

This year poets will be flying in from Chicago and DC and driving in from all over Texas to read their work for a live audience next to the piece a local artist has created with words from their work. Poet Laureate Outspoken Bean will kick off the reception.

The art exhibition will remain on view through May 20, with poetry exhibited alongside art.
