The Blue Rider: Kandinsky and Music comes to Houston following critically-acclaimed, sold-out premiere performances in New York. Inspired by the seminal Blue Rider Almanac of 1912, edited by painters Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc, Sarah Rothenberg’s The Blue Rider is lit and designed by Marcus Doshi and Sven Ortel. Rothenberg is joined by soprano and musician Susan Narucki in a concert of songs by Thomas de Hartmann, Arthur Lourié, Schoenberg, Scriabin, Webern and Rothenberg herself.
