A feisty artist who got her big break with "Love Song," Sarah Bareilles grew up in northern California, the youngest of three daughters. She participated in the high school choir and local community theater musical productions, including her high school's production of Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey. Her new album Kaleidoscope Heart (2010) doesn't have as much pop fizz as her Little Voice (2007), but is somewhere between back-country indie and Regina Specktor.
