The half-marathon and 5K event will be a "jolly good time" and one to be remembered as participants receive a Santa suit long sleeve t-shirt, Santa hat and beard to wear while running. Participants will also be able to stop at cookie stations and enjoy festive music and outrageous holiday decorations along their routes.

The races, put on by Adrenaline Sports Management, will take off from Saengerfest Park and run through the streets of downtown Galveston and along the beachfront on Seawall Boulevard. The half-marathon will begin at 9 a.m.; the 5K race will begin at 9:30 a.m.
