San Jacinto Symposium "The Tejano Side of the Texas Revolution"

eventdetail

The 2014 San Jacinto Symposium looks at the Texas Revolution through the eyes of Texas-born Tejanos who fought for independence from Mexico alongside "newcomers" from the U. S. and Europe. Six Texas history scholars tackle what has evolved into a somewhat off-kilter memory of the Texas Revolution — that it was simply Anglos vs. Mexicans.
