The San Jacinto Battleground will come alive with cannon fire, musket shots, and cries of “Remember the Alamo!” during the 189th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto.

Presented by the San Jacinto Museum and the Texas Historical Commission, the family-friendly celebration features battle reenactments, living history demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Re-enactors in period clothing will bring the events of April 1836 to life, while representatives from other historic sites will share the broader story of the Texas Revolution.

Guests can explore interactive experiences like cartridge box making, battlefield medicine, flag making, quill writing, and more. Kids’ activities, food trucks, market vendors, and nonprofits will also be on site. Inside the monument, the San Jacinto Day Lecture Series will feature renowned historians offering talks on key figures and moments of the revolution, followed by Q&A sessions.
