The San Jacinto College Central Campus Art Gallery presents "Remains," a collection of mixed media collages, assemblage, print-based works, and poetry by Lanecia A. Rouse.
The show features new work by the artist, who has been moving more deeply into the realm of abstraction. Mostly comprised of smaller, more intimate works, materials range from discarded books, clippings from vintage Ebony magazines, archival family photographs and a deconstructed wedding dress to explore themes of memory, loss, grief, childhood longings, strength and femininity.
The exhibition will remain on display through April 9.
