The exhibition "All Things to Your Remembrance" investigates Jewett and Buffalo as the ‘home places’ of Jamie Robertson's maternal grandmother, Verna. Sites of memory, the landscapes of these small towns are imbued with the presences of her ancestors, full of tales invisible to the naked eye.
Drawing on family archives and her own photographs and writings, Robertson contemplates the stories embedded in the soil on Legalley St. in Buffalo, Texas and Sugar St. in Jewett, Texas, as well as her relationship to these ancestral lands.
The exhibition will remain on display through April 9.
