Samara Gallery presents two solo exhibitions in association with FotoFest 2018, "The Woods Journal" by Barbra Riley and "Traveling the Road to Nowhere" by Marti Corn.

Riley’s recent relocation to central Texas is the major influence in the artwork she has made since living and working in the natural environment surrounding her. In her exhibition “The Woods Journal,” Riley presents a poem about this change in her surroundings accompanied by dream-like photographs.

"Traveling the Road to Nowhere" is a solo exhibition of works honoring those searching for purpose in Kakuma, a refugee camp in Kenya. Corn calls attention to the refugee crisis through photographs, mixed media, and video works of people currently living in the refugee camp Kakuma, Kenya.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until March 31.
