
Samara Gallery will present Masters Works on Paper from the private collection of Sharon and Gus Kopriva. Houston curator Gus Kopriva and his wife, artist Sharon Kopriva, have been collecting art for over 30 years in all media specializing in Pre-Columbian, Contemporary, German Expressionism, French Symbolism, and American WPA art.
Most works in the exhibition span over the last 50 decades with select pieces dating as far back as 1498. Their collection includes pencil-signed etchings, lithographs, woodcuts and serigraphs by artists such as Salvador Dali, Rembrandt van Rijn, Joan Miro, Francisco Zúñiga, Mel Chin, Pablo Picasso, and many others.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through June 18.
