Samara Gallery will present Atmospheric Forms, a solo exhibition of new works by Lesley Anne Walker.
In her newest body of work, Walker focuses in on the energy produced from the observed and imagined—the atmospheric re-building of the form, and the visible and intangible constructions of what has been lost and will be found. Walker’s works are grounded in nature, yet offer a glimpse of the imperceptible.
Walker reconstructs reality through a variety of media, including watercolor and ink, printmaking, collage, and oil painting. These various mediums serve as a perceptible portal for ideas to emerge and be considered.
Walker grew up in Houston and received a BFA from Southern Methodist University and a MFA from Houston Baptist University this year. This is the first solo show for Walker, who has previously been exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through July 10.
