John Legend showed immense talent at a young age, singing gospel and playing the piano at age 5, as well as graduating from high school at 16. While in college, Legend played piano for nationally recognized Fugees' member Lauryn Hill's hit song, "Everything is Everything." After graduation, the aspiring artist moved to New York, releasing his own CDs until he signed with musician Kanye West. West produced Legend's first studio album, Get Lifted, which earned the artist his first three Grammy awards, out of his phenomenal nine-time Grammy-winning career.
