Growing up on a farm in Georgia, Luke Bryan is a country singer with true Southern roots. In 2012, he was named Artist of the Year by American Country Awards for his chart-topping songs and excellence in the industry. He attended Georgia Southern University to stay close to home after his brother unexpectedly died in a car accident, and while attending school, performed small gigs at local bars. After college, he returned home to help with the family farm but soon moved to Nashville to follow his musical passion at the request of his father.
