New Mexico born and Texas raised, Demi Lovato gained a large following after several years as a superstar in the popular television movie series Camp Rock and as the main character in Sonny With a Chance. She released songs on soundtracks for both shows. Since 2008, Lovato has released three studio albums, with the most recent, Unbroken, showing more of a soulful side to her artistry.
The album's second single, "Give Your Heart a Break," quickly became Lovato's largest radio hit to date, and has sold more than 1 million digital copies. In the summer of 2012, Lovato joined Simon Cowell, Brittany Spears and L.A. Reid as a judge and mentor on the hit television show The X Factor.
Sixteen-year-old Austin Mahone has grown in popularity over the past year due to viral YouTube videos of his musical performances. He released his debut single, "11:11," in Feb. 2012, and his second single, "Say Somethin'," in Aug., which appeared on the Billboard pop songs chart. Mahone, a native Texan, grew up in the suburbs of San Antonio.
