ROCO In Concert: Fragrant Memories

Led by Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen and guest concertmaster Laura Frautschi, Fragrant Memories explores remembrance, resilience, and sonic storytelling through evocative reimaginings and new works.

ROCO will present the world premieres of John Wineglass’ Sacred Ground, inspired by Houston’s Freedmen’s Town, and Anthony DiLorenzo’s rescores of J.S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Maurice Ravel’s La Valse. Completing the program are Juan Pablo Contreras’ violin concerto La Minerva, David T. Little’s Haunted Topography, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 10, completed from sketches by Barry Cooper.
