ROCO’s Season 18 In Concert series wraps up with a look toward the Future. In a program inspired by daring creativity and artistic innovation, conductor Michelle Merrill makes her ROCO debut, leading the orchestra in Techtonal, a ROCO world premiere commission by Anthony DiLorenzo based on the thought-provoking book The Telling Image by Lois Stark, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Miller Outdoor Theatre.
Also receiving its world premiere will be a ROCO-commissioned orchestral work by Juno award-winner Vivian Fung, Parade. Louise Farrenc’s fiery Symphony No. 1 also features, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus rounds out their 18th Season as they're joined by Houston’s musical future: the Houston Youth Symphony.
