The 79th annual Azalea Trail is sponsored by River Oaks Garden Club, a nonprofit organization founded in 1927 and a member of The Garden Club of America. The trail is a home and garden tour of seven locations, including four private residences in the River Oaks neighborhood, Bayou Bend, Rienzi and the River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics.

This year's theme is "A Houston Tradition…Come Discover Your Roots!" which focuses on broadening the group's reach to include more Houstonians.
