Rice Village District is bringing back their hit a cappella competition, The Sing Off. This year’s line-up will compete a number of upbeat, holiday-themed songs in front of a judges panel for all to enjoy. Emcee and judges of the competition is Houston-based band, The Suffers, an eight-piece, award-winning, Gulf Coast soul ensemble.
Four Houston-based a cappella groups will compete for the 2019 Sing Off title, including the Rice University Philharmonics, Grandmas’ Boyfriends, Rice Apollos, and Space City Sound. The groups will compete in two rounds and perform a holiday set where they will be scored on song choice, choreography, and vocal performance.
