Revenue Sharing: Jasleen Sarai

eventdetail

How much space does one really need? What constitutes the needs for contemporary space now? Artist Jasleen Sarai, who has a background in architecture, will discuss issues of space, equality and urban development in "Revenue Sharing."

Having grown up in two different cities, New Delhi and Houston, Sarai's personal space requirements changed with the shift in culture and density. She will lead a discussion asking audience members to consider their own spatial needs and desires. Revenue Sharing is based on the 1960s "Teach-In" and is held in conjunction with Theaster Gates' mixed media installation See, Sit, Sup, Sing: Holding Court featured in the exhibition Radical Presence: Black Performance in Contemporary Art.
