Redbud Arts Center presents Keith Carter and his newest body of photographs, titled “Ghostlight.”
Carter is a master storyteller through the medium of photography. In this exhibition, he unfolds tales of southern wetlands in which his photographs convey feelings of a transcendent and mystical world. Moss draped trees, gloomy waters, and ethereal light inhabit the beauty of this special landscape in his pictures that span from Georgia to East Texas.
Influenced by literature, he triumphs in telling visual stories that resonate with the viewer just like the written word can. Consequently, his body of work is a celebration of these moments of sudden revelations that transport us into the spectacular world of southern swamps, bayous, and marshes.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until April 27.
