Redbud Arts Center presents Korean artist Jungseok Oh and his body of steel wire sculptures titled "Records." Oh usually creates sculptures inspired by his daily life. His "Records" series started with his personal experience which was extremely tough.
These works of art are a kind of recording of the species which are facing the risk of extinction. The sculptures capture and highlight these disappearing lives. Oh welds steel wires, which are very strong and indestructible, and this reflects his obsession and fear of the loss of life.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until June 29.
