Redbud Arts Center presents "Correspondence," a printmaking portfolio exchange between Texas and Finland, fostering artistic and cultural dialogue between Houston and Helsinki.
The unique collaboration features the work of 14 accomplished artists - seven from each city - who explore the theme of connection through diverse printmaking techniques, including relief printing, silkscreen, etching, and lithography. Each artist has contributed a 13x19-inch print reflecting on themes of thought, communication, and the careful crafting of messages.
Participating Texas artists include Tess Doyle, Cathie Kayser, Sharon Kopriva, Kelly Moran, Chasity Porter, Sherry Owens, and Susan Plum.
Participating Finnish artists include Roma Auskalnyte, Pirjetta Brander, Gunzi Holmström, Naoji Ishiyama, Inka-Maaria Jurvanen, Erkki Kannosto, and Emma Peura.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 26.
