Recloose, whose off-stage name is Mathew Chicoine, started his career in the spring of 1997 in his hometown — Detroit. He made contact with techno pioneer Carl Craig, which led to the signing of Recloose to the Planet E label as well as the birth of an eclectic and vibrant musical career.

DJ Sun's debut album One Hundred was named Best Album by a Local Musician in 2013. DJ Sun also serves as managing partner at the Flat and has taken over the music programing.
