Moody Gallery is presenting an exhibition of new work by MANUAL, the working name of art duo Ed Hill and Suzanne Bloom, in their first major collaborative exhibition since their retrospective in 2004. Running in conjunction with FotoFest 2010, a reception for the artists will take place on March 27 from 6-8 p.m.
According to Moody Gallery, "MANUAL's new explorations are a visual meditation on the 'book,' incorporating the vocabulary of conceptual image construction with the creative energy of spontaneous and intuitive response. Considered pioneers of digital imaging, in this new work Bloom and Hill embed their technological mastery, opting instead for seamless statements aimed at canny, utilitarian silence.'
