Wade Smith, Houston Texans left guard, gives children plenty of reasons to be excited about reading, learning and excelling in school. Off the field, the popular pro bowler is tirelessly out and about in the communities of Houston and Dallas, promoting childhood literacy and raising awareness for his nonprofit organization, The Wade Smith Foundation.

Smith will make a special appearance at a reception and fundraiser for WSF at Fundamentally Toys in Rice Village. He will be on hand to read excerpts from some of his favorite children's books and encourage young audience to become avid readers.

Fundamentally Toys will contribute 25 percent of all book sales for the entire weekend of Nov. 15-17 to The Wade Smith Foundation.
