As part of their Happy Hour Readings series, Rec Room Arts will present a staged reading of Edward Albee’s provocative and darkly funny The Goat or, Who is Sylvia?.
Martin - a hugely successful architect who has just turned 50 - leads an ostensibly ideal life with his loving wife and teenage son. But when he confides to his best friend that he is also in love with a goat (named Sylvia), he sets in motion events that will destroy his family and leave his life in tatters.
The series aims tocreate a third space for theatre and literature lovers to gather and celebrate the joy of reading plays, elevate emerging Houston artists, and foster community among them.
