Rattletree Marimba Performance and Workshop

Back again for the second time, Joel Laviolette and Rattletree Marimba bring the Afro-Electroica Dance Party to the Orange Show. Based in Austin, the group is at the forefront of a new era of live Electronica, merging new sounds with the roots of ancient, organic and authentic instruments. Rattletree plays giant hand-built marimbas creating a high-energy stage presence and uplifting high-vibration dance music.

From 2-4 p.m., the band will host a free community workshop for people of all ages. Come learn how to play on the marimbas and make your own beautiful music. No experience required, beginners, children and families are encouraged. Click here to participate in the workshops. Participants will be notified by email.

Then at 7 p.m., Rattletree Marimba will give a performance that is sure to get you moving.

Performance is $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Entry to the workshop is free.
