The best goodie bags in running, free instantaneous race photos, and scrumptious post-race treats are just three reasons why people should consider signing up for the first-ever Hot Chocolate 15K/5K Race in Houston.

This popular RAM Racing USATF-certified event starts at Sesquicentennial Park. Serious and recreational runners alike will score Hot Chocolate’s race swag (a quarter-zip long sleeve technical jacket). Then, after crossing the finish line where a city-specific medal and key chain await, racers are rewarded with a mug loaded with fondue and hot chocolate, pretzels, Rice Krispie Treats, cookie straws and bananas. More than 4,000 pounds of melted chocolate are prepared for the race. There are even “sweet stations” on the course that provide delicious mid-race snacks.

The Hot Chocolate Race Series benefits Make-A-Wish®, a national charity that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Last season the Hot Chocolate Series drew a quarter of a million chocolate-loving runners and generated over $200,000 collectively for its non-profit partner.  The series has generated over $1 million for charity in 10 years and expands to a record 19 cities this season.
