In this infamous adaptation of Gore Vidal's scandalous novel, Raquel Welch portrays Myra, née Myron (Rex Reed), a film buff who undergoes a sex change to pass as Myron's widow — both to claim his inheritance from his uncle (John Huston), owner of the Academy for Aspiring Young Actors and Actresses, and to enforce female dominance on the unsuspecting "studs" studying there.
Mae West stars as a sexually voracious talent agent who makes a meal out of a young, pre-mustachioed Tom Selleck. The cast also includes John Carradine and Farrah Fawcett.
The film will be introduced by Vance Muse of The Menil Collection.
