In perhaps one of his finest performances, Al Pacino stars as Steve Burns, an undercover cop assigned to find a serial killer that is mutilating and murdering gay men in New York City. Deeply embedded within the gay S&M leather scene, Burns finds his work taking a toll on his personal life, both for his refusal to share details with his girlfriend (Karen Allen) and for his uncertainty over his own sexuality.
