Public Poetry

Poetry comes alive with readings by four featured poets plus talented kids. These fast paced, creative events are presented at different library locations, always the first Saturday of month. Hear poets Jasminne Mendez, John Pluecker, Robin Reager, Scott Wiggerman on Nov. 3. Then, Carolyn Florek, Ken Jones, Teresa Juarez and Katherine Noble, plus Meta-4 Houston make it happen on Dec. 1.

These two events are being filmed for television. Filming will go on for about an hour and a half, so come prepared for that. If you're camera shy, simply take a seat at the back and you'll be guaranteed off-camera privacy. Children accompanied by parents are welcome, too.
