The University of Houston will host the grand opening of "Havah…to breathe, air, life," a temporary multimedia exhibition by globally recognized Pakistani artist Shahzia Sikander. Marking Sikander’s first major, site-specific outdoor exhibition in sculptural form, the installation co-commissioned by Public Art UHS and Madison Square Park Conservancy challenges traditional symbols of power, justice, and female representation in public monuments.
