The event celebrates the history of music and dancing at the historic Eldorado Ballroom, where many great African-American musicians performed from the 1940s to the 1970s.
This two-day event kicks off with a ticketed concert, "LIVE at the Eldorado with Milton Hopkins and Jewel Brown," on May 2. The celebration continues on May 3 with a dedication ceremony to unveil the Texas Historic Marker of the 1939 Eldorado building plus a concert, Third Ward Community Market and SLAB cars in Dupree Park.
