PBS
The Houston Public Library will host a half-hour screening of Latino Americas, the landmark six-part PBS documentary that premieres Sept. 17 on Houston Public Media's Ch. 8.
The preview screening will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Houston arts entrepreneur Geraldina Interiano Wise. In attendance will be University of Houston Law professor Michael A. Olivas — author of In Defense of My People on Houston's Arte Publico Press — as well as an interviewee in the documentary and award-winning producer Raymond Telles, one of the series' producers.
The event will be held on the fourth floor of the Houston Public Library's Jesse H. Jones building. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
